JURY DUTY

Well I've been picked for Jury Duty. Sure am looking forward to doing my civic duty. Oh well!

Did you see Dancing With The Stars? At least my man Drew won. Stacy did a great job and she deserved 2nd place. At least Travis picked the right girl on Bachelor, go Sarah!

What is Erica going to do on AMC? Another child, she looks amazing after three kids. How many more are going to pop up???? Alas poor Dixie, show your face to the good folks in Pine Valley.

On OLTL, poor Todd is having a terrible time proving he is innocent. Are all the cops in Landview nuts? Give Spencer the door. I'm so over him! Blair is just plain crazy like her Momma. Who is the son of Paige? Rex, Hugh, Nash who knows.

GH brought back some great characters. It was wonderful going down memory lane. No side effects from the virus, huh? Alexis and Sam mother and daughter, yikes!!! Jason is just so yummy and Luke, well Luke is Luke!

Thanks to my family on the coast for a wonderful weekend.
Guess what Bobby no video games. I'm slipping!

Back to work today, things are the same.

Ladies Night Out

February 23 was Ladies Night Out for Indialantic mothers and others who wanted to support the school. Apparently the money raised goes to technology of some kind.

I arrived at The Crown Plaza with Charlene and her friend Stephanie. Tiger was home with Charles and Stephanie's two boys (ages 9 and 11). We bought a few raffle tickets , some for $3, and other bigger baskets for $5. The baskets and gifts included airline tickets, a laptop, portable DVD player, Pampered Chef baskets, an autographed skateboard, camping supplies, bikes, restaurant gift certificates, etc.

After a cardboard dinner, the tickets were called for the basket prizes. We didn't win. They also raffled off a pair of earrings in a box which you chose (we didn't win those either!). We also bought tickets to support breast cancer research and in hopes of winning a huge breast cancer basket. They raised $1500 on that basket alone!

There were also several different auctions. One of the auctions was to be principal of the school for the day. One of Charlene's friends, Maureen, bid an amazing $460 and won. They also auctioned off P.E. Teacher for the day and even a home cooked meal for 10 by a professional chef. That one went for $2,000! Wow!

The DJ played the Marcarena, Electric Slide and other "OLDIES". Charlene consumed 2 long island iced teas, Maureen had 4 glasses of red wine (Carroll would LOVE her), Stephanie had 1 glass of white wine and I had a ginger ale.

Between Charlene and I, we spent $194 which included the $30 for each ticket. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with Stephanie and Maureen. They were very nice. Stephanie is a very thin but strong willed single mother and Maureen is just plain vivacious.

Charlene and Maureen danced a bit and we meandered home around 10:30 to find Tiger and the kids camped out in the living room with empty pizza boxes and soda cans.
